Center for Young Women's Development ... "For 20 years, the Center for Young Women’s Development has empowered and inspired thousands of young women experiencing incarceration or life on the streets to create positive personal and social change. The Center for Young Women’s Development is one of the first non-profits in the United States run and led entirely by young women.
We are currently in the process of re-assessing the mission, vision and staffing structure required to continue supporting groundbreaking young women-led initiatives. Meanwhile, our Sisters Rising and Girls Detention Advocacy Project programs continue to go strong, with this year’s Sisters Rising cohort slated to graduate on June 30, 2014. We will resume full operations in August 2014."
