Contra Costa Women's Health and Perinatal Services
"The goal of the perinatal unit is to provide comprehensive, personalized, family-focused care. The unit's eight private rooms are beautifully appointed and designed to allow a woman to remain in one room - from labor and delivery through her recovery. We also offer couplet care - care for both mother and newborn - giving new mothers the option of either having their baby sleep with them in the room or in the nursery at night. A patient demonstration lounge for breast feeding consultations, informational sessions on newborn safety, and education for parents with special-needs babies is also a part of the unit. Other special features of the unit include two dedicated operating rooms and an "early labor lounge," where patients can be monitored in a comfortable environment without actually being admitted.
Our Intermediate Care Nursery allows moderately sick infants to remain in the hospital with mom nearby. A special "Boarder Room" is available to accommodate the discharged mother who is learning to care for her special-needs newborn.
We also offer a comprehensive prenatal program through a network of conveniently located Healthy Start/prenatal clinics. Healthy Start offers childbirth and lactation education; makes referrals as needed; offers genetic counseling; prenatal testing; community outreach;Public Health services; Social Services and a Born Free Program. Healthy Start is your liaison between your doctor and you.

"The Family Justice Center (the Center) is a warm and welcoming one-stop Center for people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse, and human trafficking. By locating many service providers in one place, the Center helps people in crisis to find hope, safety, and healing through a single door.
When survivors of family violence seek help, they are often frustrated by a fractured system. They may have to travel to multiple locations and tell their story repeatedly. National estimates show that victims may access as many as 32 different agencies for assistance. These hurdles can discourage their efforts, and cause many people to simply stop seeking help. The Center brings multiple partners, both public and community-based, to provide holistic services to victims of interpersonal violence."

Our services focus on helping a wide spectrum of needs — from aiding children with mental health disabilities to youths transitioning out of Probation. We target community-focused care for those working to maintain stability and growth for juveniles who have suffered through disadvantages of all levels.
